Sandcreek Commons is about to welcome a new tenant that may not be as big as Hobby Lobby or Cabalas but will sure taste better: Popeyes Louisiana Chicken.
Popeyes will be built between D.L. Evans Bank and Zion’s Bank and hopes to open before the year is over. This new site will feature Popeyes’ famous New Orleans style fried chicken menu typical to the over 2,000 worldwide locations.
The first Popeyes opened over 40 years ago in a New Orleans suburb Arabi. The Ammon location franchisee is Norcal Cajun Foods from Concord, California. Popeyes’ menu offers various styles of fried chicken and shrimp, wraps and sandwiches, along with a selection of sides such as buttermilk biscuits, corn on the cob and jambalaya. (For those of you don’t know what jambalaya is, it is a dish traditionally made of meat, vegetables and rice.)
Coming up for Sandcreek Commons: Mountain America Credit Union will open next month and Broulim’s, the regional grocer, will open in coming months. Ball Ventures, LLC and Woodbury Corporation are also leasing shop space and ground leasing pad sites within the shopping center.
