It's a busy schedule this autumn for the Idaho Falls Arts Council. The lineup at the Willard Arts Center ranges from historical monologues to soul music, youth prodigies and multi-media extravaganzas.

Churchill
Sept. 19, 7:30 p.m. at the 
Carr Gallery; Tickets $50   
It is April 1955. Winston Churchill agonizes in his wartime bunker below London whether to resign as Prime Minister. As he tries to decide he reviews his uniquely eventful career, filled with history-changing events and people, glorious speeches, pithy comments, funny stories, and all the wit and wisdom that has made Churchill beyond greatness into an imperishable legend. Limited tickets are available to create these intimate performances in the Carr Gallery. Selections of sweet and savory desserts are included in the admission price.

World Blues ~Thursday, October 17, 7:30 P.M.   Multiple Grammy award winning composer, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Taj Mahal will be joined by his daughter Deva Mahal and South African Vusi “The Voice” Mahlasela for an evening of world inspired soul, blues, and roots music. Also featuring Fredericks Brown.

The Hunts
Oct. 21, 7:30 p.m. 
These seven brothers and sisters have collaborated one another’s gifts of writing, composing and musicianship. Stringed instruments, surrounded by enchanting harmonies and thrilling rhythms harken to an organic yet transcending sound.

Deep Love
Oct. 25, 8 p.m
Deep Love is a modern breed of classical opera. It is a story told through continuous music that blends traditional folk instruments and melodies with bluesy American rock. Deep Love is a glimpse at life through the eyes of a young widow as she struggles to meet the demands of her deceased husband’s undying love. From its humble beginnings in the Rocky Mountain West, Deep Love has soared into a major theatrical production with overwhelming fan support and praise. The show features Ryan Hayes and Jon Peter Lewis of “Midas Whale," recently seen on The Voice on NBC.

William Shakespeare’s Hamlet (Director: Ian Belknap) 
Nov. 1, 7:30 p.m. 
“Though this be madness, yet there is method in’t,” says Polonius to the audience. America’s foremost national touring repertory theater, The Acting Company, brings Hamlet to the Colonial. Choose “to be” there, it isn’t much of a question.

Momix
Nov. 9, 7:30 p.m. 
Momix transports audiences from their everyday lives to a fantasy world through its trademark use of magical lighting and imagery. Momix combines athletic dance, riveting music, outrageous costumes, inventive props and pure talent to create an entertaining multimedia experience.
