A celebration of 80 years of professional baseball in Idaho Falls. In 1940, the Idaho Falls Russets started their 80-year run playing their games at Highland Park, now Melaleuca Field. For 80 years fans from across eastern Idaho have been able to count on minor league baseball as a mainstay of their summers. It has served as a way to introduce generations to the game and provide a staple of affordable family-friendly fun in Idaho Falls.

The Chukars will celebrate the 2019 Pioneer League Championship throughout the 2020 season.  Season seat holders will receive free championship hats and the team will provide championship celebration fireworks, a banner raising ceremony, replica ring and championship bucket hat giveaways.

The Chukars have been chosen to participate in Minor League Baseball’s Copa de la Diversion program throughout the 2020 season. The program aims to celebrate the Hispanic and Latino populations that do so much for their communities, through rebranding to Spanish names and logos for selected games. The Chukars selected to play as Las Madres de Idaho Falls, or the Idaho Falls Mothers, the first female name and logo in men’s professional sports history.

The 2020 promotional calendar promises to be the best yet with new promotions like Charlie Chukar bobblehead night, Wizard Night and a Hawaiian Shirt. Fan favorites like $1 Hot Dog Night, No Alcohol Night, and a Fleece Blanket Night will also make their return for 2020.

A celebration of those making a difference in the community. The Chukars will honor local heroes through promotions like Law Enforcement Appreciation Night and First Responders Night. The Chukars also work with business partners like Rocky Mountain Power, Fred Meyer and The Bike Shop to celebrate local non-profits, veterans, teachers and more.

The celebration starts June 22 at Melaleuca Field!
