Xhale Day Spa, located on East First Street, broke ground on a massive refurbishment and expansion project last fall. By the end of 2022, it will be transformed into an in-town resort. To say the least, this new type of local, therapeutic “destination” is like nothing seen before within the city limits.
The historic home that Xhale occupies is easy to recognize near the corner of First Street and Woodruff Ave. The nostalgic piece of 1930s architecture will remain as the centerpiece of the property, but will now be joined by nine new buildings and flanked by strategic landscaping to give its guests a more secluded atmosphere.
Judging from the resort’s online blueprint, the layout will include a new parking lot, a dance studio, pickleball court, seven mini cabins for overnight stays, a clubhouse and an addition to the original building that includes hot pools.
