For over two decades, the Idaho Falls Arts Council has been organizing and facilitating the Roaring Youth Jam each summer with a goal of providing a place for the community to come together and share in creative art experiences. This year’s Roaring Youth Jam theme will be Fairytales and Fantasy. This event takes place on August 11, 12 and 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day.
The Roaring Youth Jam is a fun-filled art festival along the Idaho Falls River Walk. The three-day festival includes art tents and community activities along the east side of the Idaho Falls River Walk where kids (and adults!) can get creative with paint and crafts. There are performances by local acts throughout each day. All activities and events are free!
“Youth Jam is so much fun to organize,” says Visual Arts Director, Georgina Goodlander, “and we love seeing hundreds of kids having fun with art as a culmination of our efforts."
This year, kids will be able to build a castle, color on a custom wrapped car from Teton Volkswagen, take photos with princesses, and enjoy free face painting in addition to all the other projects!
The Idaho Falls Arts Council is a private nonprofit organization which owns and operates: ARTitorium on Broadway, The Colonial Theater, and the Willard Arts Center. The mission of IFAC, in cooperation with other arts organizations, is to educate our community and enrich its quality of life by promoting, advocating, and presenting a broad spectrum of visual and performing arts in eastern Idaho.
