The Community Shoe Box drive comes to Idaho Falls to serve those in need of shoes, no matter your age or circumstance. Inspired by the Wall of Warmth, the Community Shoe Box has a similar goal—to get shoes to those who need them.
"We got this idea from the good people who started the wall of warmth. What a great idea. We just want to make sure everyone goes into the school year and winter with a good pair of shoes," said Jason Harris. "We will set out boxes and allow people to donate or take as they can and need."
The donation drive will take place in front of Falls Printing, located on 190 1st St., and boxes will be set out front and organized by shoe size. Those who want to donate can easily drop a pair of shoes in the appropriate size box and those who need a pair can help themselves.
The Community Shoe Box will begin on Sept. 5th and continue until Oct. 21st. Donate an extra or unused pair of shoes to make someone else’s day!
