The adventures that await in downtown Ketchum are endless. Whether you’re looking to shop, try a new restaurant, take in the views or get into some outdoor activities, there is plenty to discover. Ketchum is 150 miles west of Idaho Falls and is known for its outdoor recreation, but in the heart of its downtown lies an unforgettable destination to take a day trip.

Enjoy Brunch at The Kneadery

When strolling through downtown, make sure to stop by The Kneadery for breakfast or brunch. The Kneadery is a favorite among locals and visitors for its rustic, homestyle cooking. The rustic atmosphere and delicious dishes will have you wanting to stay longer than a day.

Take a Historic Stroll through Downtown

The streets of downtown Ketchum are lined with charming boutiques, restaurants and a rich history of the ranchers and miners who built this quaint town. Learn more about how Ketchum became a resort town by following a self-guided historic tour, or if you’re not a history buff, stroll, shop and dine with a surreal view of Bald Mountain.

Discover Downtown Shops

The shopping scene in downtown Ketchum has a variety of shops featuring gifts, decor, jewelry, and more. If you’re like me, you can’t leave a new town without a souvenir. Fortunately, the shops in Ketchum are full of unique souvenirs and other goodies you might or might not need.

Attend the Annual Trailing of the Sheep Festival

Every year in the fall, the Trailing of the Sheep Festival is held on Main Street in downtown Ketchum to celebrate the history of sheep ranching in Idaho. The festival features over a thousand sheep trailing down the street, sheepdog trials, culinary events and a closing party in the Ketchum Town Square with live music and vendors. For details on next year’s festival, head to www.trailingofthesheep.org.
