Saturday, August 13th, is Family Farm Tours from 6pm-8pm, bring your kids and let them see baby vegetable and learn about how food is grown. See our apple, cherry, peach and apricots trees that were planted last year and now some are bearing their first crop. So exciting! Kids can also see our worm bin where we are growing red wiggler worms for composting. Come see the first Closed Vessel composter in Eastern Idaho and feel how hot our compost is. It reaches temperatures as high as 140 degrees to kill weed seeds and create black gold compost for our vegetables. There is something for everyone to learn! All vegetables are grown and sent to the Community Food Basket for families that need food assistance. Volunteers are always welcome to join us Tuesday-Friday 8am to noon.
