The Community Shoe Box drive serves those in need of shoes, no matter their age. Inspired by the Wall of Warmth, the Community Shoe Box has a similar goal—to get shoes to those who need them.
The Community Shoe Box was launched in 2023, and this fall, the drive is returning. "We got this idea from the good people who started the wall of warmth. What a great idea. We just want to make sure everyone goes into the school year and winter with a good pair of shoes," Jason Harris, publisher of Idaho Falls Magazine said. "We will set out boxes and allow people to donate or take as they can and need."
The donation drive will take place in front of Falls Printing, located on 190 1st St., and boxes will be set out front and organized by shoe size. Those who want to donate can easily drop a pair of shoes in the appropriate size box, and those who need a pair can help themselves.
The Community Shoe Box will begin on Sept. 3 and continue until Oct. 21.
