IDAHO FALLS -- Are you looking for a way to honor the fallen this Memorial Day? Field of Honor will take place uphill to the Vietnam War Memorial in Freeman Park from May 23-25, 2020. Participants can access the field by foot or vehicle.
Everyone in the family will experience an amazing display of patriotism with 1000 large U.S. flags flying atop 8-foot poles in perfect rows leading uphill to the Vietnam War Memorial. This temporary display will honor Veterans, Military Service Personnel, First Responders, Unknown Soldier, Victims of Child Abuse and more.
Field of Honor is a community event that enables everyone from all walks of life to participate in a productive, healing and positive event. Community members will have the opportunity to help set up the display and to honor their heroes by sponsoring one or more flags.
Visitors can walk or drive through the Field of Honor Memorial free of charge. Community members are also encouraged to get involved with the event by purchasing one or more Flag Sponsorships to honor or memorialize their heroes. Flag Sponsors may take home their flags at the end of the event for an additional fee.
The Idaho Falls Exchange Club Foundation, Inc. is hosting this event. Net proceeds will be used to support local veterans' organizations, child abuse prevention and crime prevention.
