At The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho (TAM) we strive to create a safe place for all ages to explore their creative pursuits. From a peaceful space to view art, to educational events and art classes, we provide unique opportunities for those who want to try something new and those who hope to expand their artistic skills and appreciation of art.

We hold monthly clay classes for adults where participants can throw pottery on the wheel and learn about the firing and glazing process. We also hold beginning-to-advanced classes and workshops in a variety of other media. Makers Night is a monthly 18+ event focused on the joy of creating and learning through various projects. For teens, we offer a watercolor class as well as clay classes. This year we have also begun our first “Teens @ TAM” program. This teen-led program allows youth from our community to collaborate in creating new classes and events for their peers. For children, we offer monthly classes called Artistic Adventures where each week of the month we explore new elements and mediums of art. Every quarter,we hold Community Day, a free event for all ages to create art projects with friends and family. For those hoping to expand their knowledge of art history as well as artistic ideas and theories, we offer an ongoing lecture series.

For 20 years TAM has offered our ARTworks tour and outreach program to elementary school classrooms across eastern Idaho. Museum educators teach new art principles, sparking discussions about artists and their artwork. This program aids in preparing the next generation of leaders with the crucial skills needed to succeed in the 21st century.

To ensure the arts are an integral part of life for the youngest to the oldest citizen, TAM showcases rotating art exhibits, acquires and displays artwork – particularly works by Idaho artists – and provides a variety of art educational opportunities. We are thrilled at the prospect of our upcoming expansion which will create dedicated spaces for our classes and expand the opportunities we can provide to our community. As the only art museum in eastern Idaho, TAM serves as a cultural gathering place where individuals of all ages and abilities gain confidence and independence in the creative process through exploration and self-expression.

TAM is located adjacent to Historic Downtown Idaho Falls at 300 South Capital Ave. For more information, call 208-524-7777 or visit theartmuseum.org.
