AMMON - In recognition of the independence of our great nation and the amazing freedoms we are privileged to enjoy every day, the City of Ammon will be hosting multiple events on July 4th 2021. The day will begin with a 4th of July Flag Raising Ceremony beginning at 8:00 am on Sunday, July 4th in front of the Ammon City Building, 2135 S Ammon Road, and will include a flag raising ceremony, speeches, and patriotic songs. All are welcome, but seating is limited.
The festivities will continue that evening with the Thousand Lights Fireworks Celebration presented by the City of Ammon and Westmark Credit Union and sponsored in part by C-A-L Ranch Stores and Sandhill Media. The show will begin at 10:00 pm over the City of Ammon. Patriotic music will be provided by La Super Caliente 103.7 FM and KUPI 99 FM. Residents are encouraged to watch the firework show from their homes to avoid traffic. The best views will be near central Ammon, south of 1st Street and north of Sunnyside.
